As an agent with Mort Meisner Associates, Steve has more than 25 years of experience in the TV News industry. He has spent the last 15 years as a News Director in markets across the country, working with his news departments to constantly better their product. Steve has been in the trenches during some of the biggest news stories of the past two decades. 9-11, DC sniper, major weather, Uber mass shooter, and the pandemic. He believes in the importance of good storytelling and even better journalism. As a news manager Steve has worked with and coached many amazingly, talented people. He has helped the journalists he works with grow and transition into key roles in bigger markets.
In addition to his work developing news product, Steve has extensive experience negotiating contracts, retaining talent and guiding both new and seasoned anchors, meteorologists, reporters and producers to be their best work.
Steve’s work has been recognized with numerous awards including 8 Murrows and dozens of Emmys.
Steve makes his home in Rochester, New York with his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their three children. When not working, you can find Steve at the hockey rink, or on his own home rink in the winter. He enjoys spending most of his free time with his children, running between hockey practices, games, theatre, robotics and dance.
Steve is actively responsible for recruiting and representing new clients to the long-time, successful agency for TV and News talent.
